What our Clients Say About Us

old man

RH

“ Although I [realised] that a full recovery may be out of reach, I really feel that Emma has helped me a lot with regaining confidence in my ability to speak and be understood. She's a lovely, patient person who pays attention to detail without creating additional stress for the client."

middle aged man

LT

“I got in touch with Lucy as I was going through a particularly bad time with my speech.  My self-esteem and confidence was very low. [Arranging] an appointment, was one of the best decisions I have made!

Lucy was professional, friendly and immediately put me at ease - I had never discussed my stammer with anyone other than close family members and a couple of friends. Over our sessions we developed a personal 'tool box' to help my fluency and worked on the areas of my speech that I was struggling with.

My confidence has improved dramatically and I now realise I am no longer defined by my stammer. Since seeing Lucy I am a happier person and still use the techniques that Lucy taught me.”

middle aged lady

AH

“I contacted Lucy for an opinion on voice problems which had started following neck surgery.  My voice had become very weak and low and I had virtually stopped speaking because of this. I had no idea how to improve it.

Lucy is very professional, reassuring and positive. Her assessment is comprehensive and her tailored treatment plan each time is easy to understand, easy to fit into my day and I noticed benefits almost immediately.

One further aspect that I have found, is that the voice is an integral part of [my] personality and I have therefore also regained an improved quality of life.”

younger man

BT

“After suffering a severe brain injury I [started] speech therapy. At first I was resistant to the service, adamant that my speech was fine and speech therapy was not something that I required. Through Lucy I learned of how the residual effects of brain injury can affect speech, in particular Dysphasia. Sensitive to my newfound impaired ability to learn new skills, Lucy explained the therapy to me in layman's terms and made [therapy] interesting and fun by integrating cross words, word games and computerised voice recording software into my therapy. Speech therapy was something I enjoyed then and I continue to benefit from today.”
